Verizon Wireless

Los Angeles, CA

A multi-story Verizon Wireless store in Los Angeles utilized a Matot dumbwaiter to move merchandise from floor to floor. The store was designed with a store room in the basement and two sales areas at the upper floors. The store room allowed the merchandise to be delivered at ground floor, safely stored away from the public, but delivered the merchandise to the customer on demand.

Merchandise is kept under careful security in the lowest floor of the four story retail center. However, its sales volume and high end clientele need fast and continuous access to merchandise. The Matot automatic delivery system allows sales staff to call down to the stock room and have merchandise delivered through a continuous system serving the stock room and the three stories of sales floors.

The American Eagle store consists of seven floors and serves one of the world’s largest tourist and retail centers. As space is a premium in the 10036 zip code the Matot dumbwaiter was able to take advantage of its small 24 sq. ft. footprint and seamlessly replenish merchandise throughout the store.
